Experiments with Effetre Red Roof Tile dotties and Medium Rose Alabaster (again)
Medium Rose Alabaster (Again)
More of the same, EXCEPT this time I fully encased the rod in clear. The results: the glass had more translucency and was marginally easier to work with, but I do miss that bright Bubblegum pink color (as seen in the rightmost bead) that one gets from not casing the rod in clear. Other downsides to casing include: heat shock, air bubbles, and otherwise exploding rods for no apparent f***ing reason besides the fact that Alabasters are godawful to work with. Also making an appearance is 066 Dense Black trailing (again).
Red Roof Tile
Red Roof Tile Effetre hollow dotties on 064 Black, finished with clear glass dots for texture. The Red Roof didn’t get that nice orange hue on the large/textured dotties, and I’m not sure why. The gravity beady (the swirly ones) and the smaller dotties are more orangey.
For the gravity beads, I encased the Red Roof in clear and then pulled stringers. I don’t think this had any effect except diluting the color.
Red Roof Tile
A closeup on the color difference. I still really love this color, and once I make like 50 more of these beads I’ll make something really cool.
