For these I played around with the placement of dots. Rather than alternating rows, I went for vertical alignment. I prefer these to the standard beads with dotties, as the tapering dots feel more elegant.

Dark Purple Transparent

Dark Purple Transparent is pretty dark—to me it’s a little too dark for bead curtain fodder when it’s a solid bead, as it almost reads as black. As a dottie it’s fine, because the color is thinned out by virtue of only being an accent decoration. Some of the beads are on a clear base, and some are on Lavender Blue Transparent (although the Lavender Blue is so subtle it’s basically just a tinted clear.) Hooray for using up old glass.

Red Roof Tile

More layered dotties with Red Roof Tile on 064 Black. The top left bead had a thin spot and popped. Those are called “Screamers.” Despite being a less-than-perfect bead, the delightfully named Screamers can be really useful for stringing projects.

Some experiments with twisted dotties. In this instance the color was too thinned out and the twisted dots don’t read very clearly.
